I recently enjoyed a stay at Chambres d'Hôtes de Champs Fleuri, which beautifully blends traditional charm with modern comfort. The location, just a five-minute drive from the city centre of Angouleme, offers a serene escape while remaining conveniently close to local attractions. On the first night, we encountered some uninvited guests—a hornet issue above our room. The staff promptly assisted us with a room change, which was much appreciated, especially given the intense heat. The second room was spacious and provided a much-needed respite. Breakfast each morning was well-prepared, offering a good selection to kickstart the day. The highlight, of course, was the refreshing swimming pool—it felt heavenly on those hot days.
